You can feel that it wasn’t written to impress—it feels personal.\n\nWhat surprised me most is how the book quietly changes the way you think. It’s not dramatic or fast-paced, but it makes you pause. I caught myself thinking… when was the last time I actually looked at people properly? Not just passing by, but really noticing them, being present, being kind.\n\nTheo has this way of listening—like really listening. No agenda, no rushing. Just fully there. And it made me realize how rare that is.\nThere’s also this idea in the book about small acts of kindness—he calls them “bestowals.” Nothing big or showy, just thoughtful gestures for people who might be struggling. I liked that a lot. It feels very real, and also something we can actually do.\n\nThe story is built around a group of very different people, and somehow they all connect through Theo. It’s not perfect or ideal—it’s messy, a bit random, but warm. You start to feel that sense of community, just from people showing up and caring a little more.\nSome parts made me reflect more than I expected. About grief, about forgiveness, about choosing to love people even when it’s not easy. It’s not heavy in an overwhelming way, but it stays with you.\n\nAlso… random side effect: this book made me curious about Port wine \nAnyway, I don’t want to give too much away. But this is one of those books that doesn’t just end when you finish it.
