About the Author
吳靄儀 Margaret Ng is a senior barrister, writer, and former Legislative Council member representing Hong Kong’s legal sector. She holds a Ph.D. in Western Philosophy from Boston University and an LL.B. from the University of Cambridge. Before entering law and politics, she was Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of Ming Pao, and served in the Hong Kong Government’s Central Policy Unit. A founding member of the Civic Party, Ng is also renowned for her literary criticism of Jin Yong’s wuxia novels and her insightful writings on Hong Kong’s legal and political transformation.
